SESAME TERIYAKI SIRLOIN
Black Angus Steakhouse Copycat Recipe
Teriyaki Glaze and Dipping Sauce:
1 1/2 cups soy sauce
1/8 to 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
1/2 tablespoon Tabasco, or to taste
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup toasted sesame oil
1 3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup plus 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
3 tablespoons plus 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons water
Heat first 8 ingredients (soy sauce through white sugar) until sugar dissolves. Add brown sugar, cornstarch and water mixture. Simmer until thickened. Simmering time will be 10 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness of sauce desired.
Black Angus also uses this glaze on boneless skinless grilled chicken breasts.
