Seasoned Rice

Stock Yard Restaurant Recipe

Serves 6

1 teaspoon olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup long grain white rice
3 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Place the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and saute 4-6 minutes. Add the rice and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the beef broth, paprika and soy sauce. Bring the ingredients to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes or until the broth is absorbed and the rice is tender. Add the parsley, toss and serve.
