Ultimate Brownie Supreme

Stock Yard Restaurant Recipe

4 squares unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup margarine or butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped nuts, optional
whipped cream
Maraschino cherries
vanilla bean ice cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 by 9 inch pan. In a large, microwave-safe bowl, microwave the chocolate and margarine on high for 2 minutes or until the margarine is melted. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted. Stir in the sugar and add the eggs and vanilla, blending well. Stir in the flour and nuts. Spread the batter in the prepared pan and bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with crumbs. Do not over bake. Cool in the pan and cut into squares.

To serve, place brownie squares in individual dessert bowls. Top each with a large scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and hot fudge sauce. Garnish each with whipped cream and maraschino cherries.

Fudge Sauce:
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 3/4 cups sugar
4 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup butter
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla
dash salt

In a medium saucepan combine the milk and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil. Continue boiling and stirring for 1 minute. Add the chocolate squares and stir until melted. Beat over medium heat until smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter, vanilla and salt.
